nacoa™ is the specialty biochar brand of LatAm BioEnergy Group, headquartered in the Dominican Republic with commercial offices in New York.
We produce cosmetic-grade, food-grade, industrial, and agricultural biochar from plantation-grown Acacia mangium biomass using controlled pyrolysis — no chemical activation, no solvents, no additives. Every kilogram of nacoa™ biochar sequesters more carbon than is emitted in its production.
We source from managed Dominican plantations, produce domestically, and export globally with full batch traceability.
nacoa™ was created to solve a specific problem: the activated charcoal ingredient market is dominated by commodity-grade product with untraceable supply chains, inconsistent batch quality, and sustainability claims that don't hold up.
We built an alternative — single-origin, lab-verified, carbon-negative, and documented to the standards serious formulators require.
